The cyclone preventer is a special pipe fitting used to prevent the cyclone generated by the water tank (pool) when conveying liquid and prevent air from entering the pipeline. Its function is to be installed on the suction pipe port of the water tank (pool) pump to eliminate the swirling flow in the water tank (pool), so as to ensure that the water pump can always start and work normally, avoid cavitation caused by air entering the water pump, and reduce the liquid level of the liquid transported in the water tank (pool) to a lower level, so as to ensure the maximum flow transmission.

It is suitable for chemical, energy, water engineering and other fields, especially in the fire water intake tank (box), which can ensure that the effective volume is fully utilized, improve the effective utilization rate of the fire water tank, reduce the dead water area and realize the requirements of land saving. During rescue, the fire water can be used to the greatest extent.

Technical features

1. The minimum submergence depth of the cyclone preventer can be up to 100mm without vortex, which greatly improves the effective utilization rate of the pool.

2. Effectively eliminate the swirling flow generated by the water tank (pool) in the process of pumping and suction.

3. Prevent air from entering the water pump due to swirling flow, realize efficient water delivery of the water pump, and avoid damage to the water pump due to cavitation

4. The structure of cyclone preventer is simple and solid, realizing economical installation and maintenance free.

National regulations: article 5.1.12 of gb50974-2014 technical code for fire water supply and hydrant system stipulates:

When the fire water pump sucks water from the fire water tank, it is difficult to set a suction well in the fire water tank. In order to reduce the protective height of the suction pipe, it is required to set a cyclone preventer on the suction pipe to improve the effective water storage capacity of the fire water tank. Article 5.1.13 stipulates that the submerged depth of the suction port of the fire water pump shall meet the requirements for the safe operation of the fire water pump at the lowest water level, and the bell mouth of the suction pipe is at the lowest water level of the fire water tank The submergence depth under the effective water level shall be determined according to the water flow velocity and hydraulic conditions at the bell mouth of the suction pipe, but shall not be less than 600mm. When the cyclone preventer is used, the submergence depth shall not be less than 200mm.
